The Working Principle of Different Types of Motor Controller
1. Rheostat governor : adjusts the current and speed by changing the resistance in the motor circuit. Use sliding rheostat or electromagnetic variable resistor to achieve, the resistance increases when the current decreases, the speed decreases; On the contrary, when the resistance is reduced, the current increases and the speed increases.
2. Frequency converter type governor : adjust the speed by changing the frequency of the power supply to the motor. The inverter contains an inverter that converts direct current into frequency-adjustable alternating current, thereby regulating the speed of the motor.
3. Electromagnetic governor : adjust the speed by changing the magnetic circuit of the motor. Common series excited DC motor and shunt excited DC motor, by changing the size of the excitation current to change the size of the stator magnetic field, and then affect the speed of the motor.
4. Electronic governor : speed adjustment using semiconductor technology. The common ones are thyristor rectifier device and stepless governor. The terminal voltage and current of the motor are controlled by adjusting the on-state of the semiconductor equipment, so as to adjust the speed.
5. Mechanical governor : speed regulation is achieved by changing the mechanical load of the motor. For example, by changing the ratio of pulley or gear, this method is simple in structure but less efficient and does not achieve smooth speed adjustment.
The Specific Application Example
AC Motor Controller has a wide range of applications in industry, such as industrial DC motor speed regulation, industrial conveyor belt speed regulation, lighting regulation, computer power dissipation, DC fans and other aspects have been applied. For example, the non-feedback hydraulic governor adjusts the fuel supply through the change of the speed of the drive shaft driven by the crankshaft to maintain the stable operation of the system.
